Thank you for your interest in participating in The Book Direct Show. Before you proceed to purchase tickets, we strongly recommend you to read through the following terms and conditions:
Introduction
The Book Direct Show (or 'Event') is organised and managed by Book Direct Show LLC, ('The company', 'provider', 'organiser', 'we', 'us' or 'our').
Words like ‘holder’, 'attendee', 'attendees', ‘bearer’, and ‘purchaser’ will refer to you – the person who will buy the tickets to The Book Direct Show.
Words like ‘live’, 'live conference' and 'Book Direct Show’ will refer to the in-person Book Direct Show conference to be held in Barcelona on May 17th 2023 and in Miami on October 18th-19th 2023.
Tickets, Transfers & Refunds
By opting to purchase or possess tickets to The Book Direct Show, you do so on your own free will and automatically agree to our terms of use. If you have problems with any of the clauses listed below or do not agree with the risk allocations mentioned here, please do not purchase tickets or try to enter the The Book Direct Show venue premises.
Purchase of any ticket shall be deemed to be an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. As such, you do not have the right to initiate a chargeback claim or dispute on the provider of the credit card/debit card that had been used for the transaction.
Kindly note that Ticket Tailor is the only authorised sources for purchasing The Book Direct Show tickets. If you obtain your ticket(s) from any other unauthorised source, you take on the risks of those tickets turning out to be counterfeit. The organiser has the right to dishonour such stolen/counterfeit tickets and declare them as void.
The prices of The Book Direct Show tickets are non-negotiable.
All tickets must be paid for in full prior to the entry of the event.
The live conference ticket price is exclusive of value-added tax, which shall be added to the final ticket price.
By purchasing any ticket, you automatically confirm that you/the attendee(s) are of the ‘minimum age’ or older, at the time of buying the ticket(s). The ‘minimum age’ for attending The Book Direct Show is 18. If it is proven beyond doubt at the venue that an attendee is below the ‘minimum age’, he/she will not be granted entry. No refunds, full or partial, will be issued either.
All ticket sales are deemed as FINAL TRANSACTIONS. There will be no ticket returns/exchanges/cancellations for online ticket packages.
Live conference tickets may be transferred to any other person prior to the event (only once) and such transfer shall be subject to our written approval. All transfer requests must be made in writing by emailing [email protected] no later than Friday 5 May 2023.
Live conference ticket holders will be eligible for a full refund, if the attendee decides to cancel his/her participation in the event, prior to March 31, 2023. No refunds or credits will be issued on cancellation requests received after this date. All refund requests must be made in writing by emailing [email protected].
Losses, if any, occurring due to foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of refunds, have to be borne by the purchaser. The organiser cannot be, in any way, held liable for that.
The live conference ticket you purchase represents a revocable license for you to access the conference space in Barcelona or Miami, when The Book Direct Shows are scheduled to be hosted. The license includes the revocable right to attending The Book Direct Show. This license can be revoked at any time by the issuer at its sole discretion, without any prior notifications or compensation options. If the license is revoked, you will not be granted entry at the venue.
If you are not able to access any particular section(s) of the venue – due to delays, government regulations, organiser policies, weather-related problems, emergencies, venue shutdown/evacuation or any other reason, you will not be eligible for any refunds or future credits.
You cannot use ticket(s) for any promotional/advertising purposes either (including sweepstakes and competitions) without our prior approval. Any proven record of such activities will result in immediate cancellation of your ticket(s).
Please note that The Book Direct Show tickets cannot be redeemed against cash, credits, or any other benefits.
The event organisers have the right to investigate if there has been any violation of the The Book Direct Show ticketing terms and conditions. In case of any conflicts, our decision of will be deemed final (i.e. the organiser will remain the final arbiter in cases of disputes).
Cancellation
If the organiser cancels the live event in its entirety, for any reasons whatsoever, including due to circumstances beyond our control (including circumstances concerning COVID-19 pandemic, failure of transportation, strikes or accidents), we may refund the appropriate registration fees to the attendees.
No refunds shall be made for travel expenses related to the event. Attendees who purchase non-refundable travel and/or accommodation do so at their own risk.
The organiser shall not be liable for any prevention or delay in performance resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from an Act of God, terrorism, civil disturbance, court order, natural disasters, weather, wars, riots, pandemic, or epidemic (including COVID-19), electrical failures, labor disputes, explosions, actions or orders by Federal, state or local governments, or any other circumstances or causes beyond the reasonable control of the organiser.
- If The Book Direct Show is cancelled in its entirety due to any unforeseen circumstances, we have the sole and absolute right to:
- i) reschedule the event, or
- ii) issue a partial/full refund, or
- iii) not issue any refunds.
If The Book Direct Show is cancelled due to any factors or causes not in the control of the organiser, the latter will offer a partial or full refund, or postpone the event, or provide a comparable ‘make good’ option. These factors will be inclusive of, but not limited to, natural disasters, federal/state announcements, strikes, delays in production, and the like. Once again, the decision of the organisers will be considered final.
If The Book Direct Show has to be rescheduled to other dates, you will not be eligible for any refunds. In case the event is fully canceled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value/printed value of the ticket(s). The bearer cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, and such other charges.
Attendance at The Live Conference
At the time of entering the event venue, you are required to produce the ticket. You may also be asked to provide a valid identification document (ID). By presenting an ID, you confirm that all details present on it are accurate and updated.
The Book Direct Show follow a common ‘zero-tolerance policy’ towards unauthorised drug usage or carrying at the venue, AND towards any type of behaviour/actions that can be interpreted as lewd or obscene. If you are found in possession of prohibited items at The Book Direct Show and/or if you indulge in any objectionable action, your participation in the event will be terminated immediately. Your event ticket(s) will become void from that point on.
The organiser does not take any responsibility to personal/financial damages caused to you at the venue, or for any items lost/stolen/misplaced at the venue. Financial reimbursement claims on these counts will not be entertained.
Each attendee at our live conference shall be responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance concerning any risks in relation to this agreement or its attendance of the live conference event, including personal injury insurance or Covid-19 related symptoms or illness.
There will be a professional photographer and videographer shooting during the live conference event. Conference ticket holders consent to being filmed and recorded as members of the audience and publishing and sharing such images and recordings by us on our websites, social channels and future marketing.
Schedule Changes
Please note that we reserve the right to make agenda, speaker and location changes, revisions, and amendments, or add/remove sections from this set of terms and conditions – without any prior notifications to you. Such changes will be duly reflected on the website of the organiser https://bookdirect.show. These changes will relate back to the date of purchase of The Book Direct Show tickets.
Data
By purchasing tickets to The Book Direct Show, you give your consent to the organiser to collect certain information about yourself (name, email address, telephone number, preferences, address, etc.) for show updates, future event marketing and storage.
The organiser may share your personal information with other event sponsors and advertisers and may share event attendance lists that include your full name, company name and email address. We are not responsible for the use or misuse of your personal information by our affiliated partners.
